For the Audition:
Hello!
If you plan to audition for West Michigan Homeschool Theatre’s 2026 production of
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, by William Shakespeare,
You have come to the right place!
Here are all the things you need to know for auditions:
Who: Students 12 years of age and up, as of January 1st, 2026.
When: Thursday, December 4th, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm
Where: The Baldwin’s Forest. 5590 South Hilton Park Road, Fruitport, Michigan
Please carpool as much as possible due to parking.
However, parking on the side of the road is fine.
This is how it will work:
From the List of Characters sheet, please choose up to three Characters to try out for. The lines provided for each character MUST be memorized. You are welcome to dress up or bring props, if desired. More than one student may try out for the same roles.
The audition process will begin after a brief group gathering on the Baldwin Front Porch for Greetings, Introductions, and any other pertinent information. After which, parents will meet together inside the house for the Parent Volunteer meeting. Each student will proceed to their first try-out site, or may choose to travel along as a group. Once all the student’s pieces have been performed, they may continue through to the end if desired, or they may leave if needed. Each Character will have a designated number that will coincide with a number along the trail through the woods. We will proceed in numerical order. Number One is Theseus, number two is Hippolyta, number three is Egeus and so on per the list. Coordinating sites will be labeled with the number and the Role. Please dress for the weather!
Thank you, in advance, for embarking on this season’s amazing adventure!
I am looking forward to working with you all!
